Kundalini Power
Kundalini Power is the highest form of life-force energy. It gives us our creative energy, spiritual gifts and divine feminine energy. This is known also as Shakti. Shakti is the original and fundamental Goddess.
Shakti develops in strength once embodied in the element of earth. The Shakti power resides as latent energetic potential within us at the base of the spine. The ability to shift and work with this energy is known as kundalini activation.
The kundalini is frequently depicted as a coiled serpent. This is due to actual sensations that flow through the body upon activation of the kundalini as they feel snake-like as they move throughout us. It's only natural that when this energy rests, it would return to its position like the snake returning back to its coil.
Tantric practitioners strive to awaken the kundalini through a variety of techniques and have it rise through the chakras along the spine to the seat of Shiva, the source of Divinity and divine masculine principle, the fundamental God. The kundalini, according to Tantric philosophy, carries the memory of Shiva's unity with Shakti. This memory of pure consciousness, enriched and differentiated by the duality of lower planes of existence, seeks a melting together and a blissful reunion. This yearning is mirrored in our search for sexual pleasure, spirituality and in our desire to be happy, fulfilled and whole.
When the kundalini is awakened, whether through sexuality, a yoni or lingham massage, yoga, or other tantric techniques, it rises through the energy centres (chakras) and channels (nadis) to Shiva, causing a shift in our consciousness. This consciousness leads us back to the highest unity, samadhi, the state of being beyond all polarities. In this state, the never-ending dance between masculine and feminine, Shiva and Shakti, continues. It is a Spiritual Union with the manifestation of its wonderful godly form.
